A great behind the scenes look at what can go right and go wrong with a wedding. I assumed there would be some funny stories told in this book, and there were, but oh my! I don't know how the author withstood all those years dealing with all the not so nice people. This is a great book to read if you're planning a wedding , just as a heads up for what can go wrong. For the most part the stories were funny and some were very sweet. I guess it shows it really takes all kinds to make the world go around. I do recommend "I Do" just to read how very different people/couples react act, ignore, disregard requests, and so on, and expect everything photographed to be perfect. The author must have the patience of a saint. All in all I looked forward to getting back to reading "I Do", and enjoyed it very much.

Hall takes us through sixteen years of her experience of the pitfalls, the near calamities and the joys of being a wedding videographer. Written in a humorous style it never tires or ceases to inform and I polished it off over a two day period – a record for me – and was looking for more.

I thoroughly recommend this book to anyone contemplating getting involved with a wedding. Read, learn and don’t make the same mistakes. It’s not all disaster though, the book is packed with humorous anecdotes.

I would have never thought that a wedding videographer would deal with so many different situations! While reading this book I encountered some interesting information, some winces and cringes, some WTF moments, some genuine laughs out loud - but I can honestly say that all of it was entertaining!
In addition, Kiersten's casual, witty, and amusing writing style made me feel like I was sitting in her living room as she shared these scenarios and anecdotes with a group of friends - Thanks for sharing!
I wish I had read this book before my first. wedding...it's humorous, even laugh out loud funny, but it's also a sort of guidebook to making sure the wedding video doesn't suck! A great gift for anyone about to walk down the aisle!
So happy I had a small wedding) Kirsten's writing is funny and I caught myself laughing out loud more than a few times. A quick read but well written and kept my interest.
While every wedding is lovingly planned with great hopes and aspirations, the truth is ... EXACTLY as Kiersten describes in this book. Rare is the wedding which does not generate at least one amusing (or appalling) story among the contracted professionals.

As a veteran of 10+ years of wedding photography, I found myself nodding and trying to remember the names on the oh-so-many weddings in which my experience echoed these, and trying to identify those venues that were described, but not named.

Yeah, I'm serious!
First, I want to say that this is not a typical read for me. Although I find I usually enjoy books that tell true stories and give insight into people's worlds, I don't often pick them up. I decided to read this book when I spoke with the author on social media and thought I'd give it a shot. I'm always willing to support indie authors and love to help. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised when I started reading "I DO" 15 Years of True Stories from a Wedding Videographer.

This book is funny, witty, and full of surprising anecdotes, a definite page turner. Just when you think that people can't get any worse, you turn the page to find another humorous story about how insane brides and grooms can be. You cannot make this stuff up! I've been involved in a few weddings, mine included, and have only dealt with on bridezilla, I do not know how Kiersten dealt with these insane women and their ridiculous demands, inconsideration, and lack of basic human decency. But this book doesn't just talk about the bad or insane, it tells about the cute and funny things that make weddings fun and exciting for all who are involved. Definitely recommend reading, I absolutely recommend this fun, easy to read book.
